Hosting an event of such importance and magnitude as the National Seminar of University Libraries is more than an honor; it is a privilege. It is so because, in addition to bringing that mood of exchanging experience and knowledge to our home town, we will also contribute to the construction of knowledge in a strategic and essential area: the university libraries.
Carrying on the work that the SNBU has been developing since 1978 is a rewarding mission, which requires a lot of dedication and care, as we must preserve the notoriety that the National Seminar of University Libraries has achieved throughout these years: being one of the largest and most important events in the Information Science area.
We would like to welcome the participants, lecturers and everyone who is somehow giving their contribution to the SNBU 2014. In addition to profiting as much as possible from all the knowledge and exchange of ideas the event offers, we also take this opportunity to make an invitation to you all: feel free to enjoy the historical, architectural, cultural and gastronomic wealth of the city of Belo Horizonte and of the state of Minas Gerais!
